Modeled on the experience of California’s San Joaquin Probation Department, this toolkit is designed to help other jurisdictions plan and implement reentry plans for this population.

Strategies for improving the likelihood that these men and women will succeed in the community means matching the right level of services to their needs based on risk factors for criminal behavior and making sure that interventions fit an individual’s ability and learning style.
