FOXBORO, Mass. — Thanks to the strong self-advocacy, the five residents of CRJ’s Wendell program got to see one of the biggest New England Patriots games of the year.  For nearly a year the men wrote the Patriots’ organization seeking donated tickets to a game for the house. Their hopes were fulfilled when they were given discounted seats to the big game.

It was a chilly December afternoon that greeted them when they arrived at Gillette Stadium for the game against the Houston Texans. The men had a very good view of the field from the end zone and enjoyed the pre-game warm-ups.  When the game started, these Patriot fans were not disappointed as the Pats ran up a big score in a blowout victory.

The Wendell men took it all in—sampling the food, taking pictures and cheering on the hometown team. This was their first visit to Gillette but they all hoped it would not be the last.
