BOSTON, Mass. -- On June 19, 2013 the Sargent House celebrated a significant milestone, when five of the program’s participants completed all requirements necessary to receive diplomas or certifications from their respective schools.

The accomplishments of these young people are worth celebrating, as this marks the first time in the program’s history that all clients became graduates at the same time. With an eye towards the future, all of our graduates are now working on building their vocational skills.

In accomplishing this educational milestone, the young men were supported by a number of people. Watson Academy, CRJ’s Educational Support Program, came in to provide assistance on a regular basis. Watson Academy also coordinated the tutorial efforts of the Phillips Brooks House at Harvard University and volunteers from Simmons College. Community Resources for Justice extends its thanks to them as well as the tireless efforts of the Sargent House staff.
