BOSTON: Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) today announced Peter Gerondeau will join the non-profit as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President.

As CFO of Community Resources for Justice, Peter will be responsible for financial and operations management, including leading the finance, technology services, and facilities teams. Peter will also partner with the executive team to drive CRJ’s next stage of expansion and service delivery.

“Peter’s seasoned financial and leadership experience is an ideal fit for Community Resources for Justice. Peter has dedicated his career to health and social justice, and his expertise will be a welcome addition as we look to expand our services to more underserved communities around the country,” said Deborah O’Brien, President and CEO at Community Resources for Justice.

Peter joins CRJ from Dimock Community Health Center, where he held numerous leadership positions during a highly successful 22-year career at the Boston-based community health provider. Under his leadership as Executive Vice President of Administration and Finance at Dimock, Peter increased their cash and reserve funds, successfully restructured debt, and streamlined financial operations to reduce cash shortfall. His work oversaw massive building renovation projects, an IT upgrade, and leadership on their marketing and philanthropy efforts. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Peter served as interim Chief Executive Officer, where he led and oversaw all patient and employee initiatives to guarantee care at Dimock could continue safely. Peter holds an MBA and BA in Economics from Boston College.

“Community Resources for Justice is poised to expand their quality care to even more communities in need, and I looked forward to continuing that growth while maintaining a strong financial position,” said Peter Gerondeau. “Equity and justice are at the very heart of CRJ’s mission. I’m excited to support the vital work being done in every corner of the organization.”

Peter will be taking on the role from former CFO Wendy Smith. As previously announced, Wendy transitioned from CRJ to pursue new career opportunities in October 2023.
