Health and Dental Coverage

Medical Insurance

CRJ offers eligible employees and the employees' eligible dependents, enrollment in medical insurance coverage. The coverage is effective 30 days from the date of hire.

Health reimbursement Account (HRA)

CRJ contributes into a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) plan that can be used towards an eligible emploee's deductible and co-pays.

Medical Premium Reimbursements (Medical Opt-Out)

CRJ offers eligible employees who have declined coverage under CRJ's Medical Insurance, because they are covered under someone else's plan, i.e. spouse, parent, abother employer's plan, monthly Medical Premium Reimbursement. The employee is eligible to participate effective 30 days from the date of hire.

Dental Insurance

CRJ offers eligible employees, abd the employees' eligible dependents, enrollment in dental insurance coverage. The coverage is effective 30 days from the date of hire.

Vision Insurance

CRJ offers eligible employees and the employees’ eligible dependents, enrollment in vision insurance coverage. This premium is 100 percent paid by the employee.  The coverage is effective 30 days from the date of hire.

Flexible Savings Account (FSA)
We offer a Flexible Savings Account for Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transportation expenses. These allow you to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to be reimbursed for qualified expenses.

Life & Disability Insurance

CRJ offers Group term life insurance that equals to 2 x annual salary and Short Term Disability (STD) that provides coverage to employees unable to work due to non work related injury or sickness. These benefits are paid 100% by CRJ.

Voluntary Long Term Disability (LTD) provides a benefit for "long term" disability resulting from a covered injury or sickness that requires the regular attendance of a physician. This benefit is paid 100% by the employee.

Voluntary Supplemental Insurance

Employees have the opportunity to purchase additional insurance coverage such as: Disability Insurance Cancer Insurance, Life Insurance, and Accident Insurance at a reasonable cost.

Investment in Retirement Plans

401(k) Savings and Investment Plan - John Hancock Services provides investment options to full time and part time employees into a traditional 401K plan or a Roth 401K. Employees must meet eligibility requirements in order to enter the plan. CRJ will match up to 4% of employee's annual gross salary.

Vacation, Sick, and Holiday

Vacation - Full-time employees begin to earn vacation according to their years of service, after completing their first thirty (30) days of continuous employment, as follows:

10 days: Year 1 thru Year 2

15 days: Year 3 thru Year 4

20 days: Year 4 or more

Part-time employees, 20+ hours begin to earn vacation according to their scheduled hours worked after one year of service.

Sick - All employees will begin to accrue Earned Paid Sick Time from their date of hire, no employee may use earned sick time until after 30 days of employment.

Holidays - All full-time employees are eligible for seven (7) paid holidays per calendar year. The Holidays recognized and paid by CRJ include:

  January 1   New Year's Day
  January (3rd Monday)  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  May (last Monday)  Memorial Day
  July 4    Independence Day
  September (1st Monday) Labor Day
  November (4th Thursday) Thanksgiving
  December 25   Christmas

In addition to these seven (7) regularly scheduled holidays, eligible employees are credited with four additional days which are entitled floating holidays (FH) accrued one (1) per quarter to be taken throughout the year.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition reimbursement offers reimbursement of eligible education expenses which include tuition, fees, and books up to $1,500 per fiscal year.

Tuition remission is administered by the Provider's Council and offers free tuition to eligible employees at participating Massachusetts state colleges, universities and community colleges for undergraduate classes.

MBTA Passes

Commuter passes may be purchased through payroll deductions on a pre-tax basis.

Employee Referral Bonus 
Employees who refer a friend who is hired for a position at CRJ receive a $300 bonus for a full-time hire and $100 for part-time.
