ANOTHER SUPREME HOME RUN |
|
1--8--2002
Whenever the Supreme Court makes a sensible, important decision, it's worthy of note. That happened when their legal majesties unanimously ruled that disability must involve tasks that are of "central importance to most people's daily lives."
Now that's a sensible ruling. Even if Congress has passed some really insensible, poorly-thought-out laws such as the Endangered Species and Americans with Disabilities acts in response to special interest groups and in stupid vote-pandering, it is refreshing when judges actually support a little sense in the interpretations thereof.
When the Court does a good job, praise is warranted. This is one of those times.
