    Sarah Wittig Galgano


    Sarah Wittig Galgano has over 10 years of criminal justice experience working at the local and state levels.  Her experience includes working with states and local jurisdictions to identify effective, evidence-based policy and conduct economic analysis of social programming. At CJI, Sarah provides technical assistance to help states implement juvenile justice reform legislation through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s Smart on Juvenile Justice Initiative, assists states with ensuring their programs are implemented with fidelity to program models, and contributes to CJI’s Justice Reinvestment quantitative analysis efforts. Sarah is committed to improving lives and communities through the application of research and data.  Sarah holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Iowa.
